GIANTS Tom Scully and Isaac Cumming have been withdrawn from Saturday's AFLX tournament at Allianz Stadium. 

Despite the two changes the GIANTS go into their games against Richmond and Brisbane with a strong 14-man squad that includes five players who are yet to make their AFL debut.

Only 10 players can be selected for each match with seven players starting on the field of play and three on the bench. CLICK HERE to find out more about the rules of AFLX.

The GIANTS' first pool match against Richmond at 4.10pm starts the Sydney tournament, which follows exciting tournaments in Adelaide on Thursday night and Melbourne on Friday night.

6. Lachie Whitfield (C)

187cm, 81kg AFL Games: 90 

One of the best outside midfielders in the game, Lachie Whitfield is blessed with pace and stamina. A clean kick with a goal scoring nous, AFLX should suit Whitfield who will also captain the GIANTS for the duration of the tournament. Capable of kicking well over 40 metres, expect to see Whitfield attempt a few Zooper goals throughout the night.

10. Aiden Bonar

189cm, 86kg AFL Games: 0

Aiden Bonar is a big bodied midfielder with elite skills. The GIANTS’ top pick at last November’s NAB AFL Draft, Bonar has overcome a hamstring injury to take his place in the club’s inaugural AFLX squad.

11. Will Setterfield

190cm, 82kg AFL Games: 2

A big bodied midfielder with great skills and athletic abilities, Will Setterfield is one of the young guns to keep an eye on throughout the two matches. The 20-year-old made his debut in 2017 and will be looking to show off his abilities as he pushes for regular selection in 2018.

20. Adam Tomlinson

194cm, 97kg AFL Games: 91 

Adam Tomlinson is a rare specimen, a key position player with the mobility and engine of an elite midfielder. An accurate and booming kick, Tomlinson could also find himself running through the midfield at times. The 24-year-old is coming off a career-best season in 2017 that saw him play 24 games.

25. Lachlan Keeffe

204cm, 101kg AFL Games: 40 

The tallest player named by the GIANTS, Lachlan Keeffe will impress and surprise some with his elite running ability. The 204cm utility finished in the top ten of the club’s 3km time trial twice this summer, but he’s more than just a tall player with an engine. A safe pair of hands and an accurate kick, Keeffe will be looking to impress in his first appearance in orange and charcoal having joined the club as a delisted free agent.

31. Jeremy Finlayson

196cm, 91kg AFL Games: 1

Tall yet agile, Jeremy Finlayson is looking to put his best foot forward in AFLX as he aims to add to his single AFL game in 2018. The 22-year-old GIANTS Academy graduate has the ability to get forward and kick goals which makes him a double threat.

33. Lachie Tiziani

189cm, 79kg AFL Games: 0

A gifted and athletic forward, Lachie Tiziani possesses an incredible vertical leap and an accurate set shot. Quick and sharp skilled with great footy smarts, this is Tiziani’s chance to impress after missing parts of 2017 with a knee injury.

34. Nick Shipley

188cm, 93kg, AFL Games: 0 

A hard-running midfielder, Western Sydney’s Nick Shipley gets his first change to impress in GIANTS colours. Shipley excels at stoppages, has good vision and clean hands with terrific work-rate. The GIANTS Academy graduate likes to push forward and kick a goal so expect him to attempt a Zooper goal or two throughout the afternoon.

36. Harry Perryman

184cm, 77kg AFL Games: 8 

A medium-sized defender, Harry Perryman has come along in leaps and bounds in 2018 after making his AFL debut last year. The 19-year-old has added a step of pace and a built up his stamina over the pre-season, and should offer some run off half-back. A clean kick, his skills should suit AFLX.

38. Daniel Lloyd

187cm, 87kg AFL Games: 7

Daniel Lloyd was one of the feel-good stories of the GIANTS 2017 season, making his debut and impressing in his seven games. His stamina has improved greatly over the 2018 pre-season and his knack for a goal, and booming kick sees him as a perfect AFLX player.

41. Jack Buckley

194cm, 81kg AFL Games: 0 

A strong contested mark with good athleticism for his size, Jack Buckley will be looking to show why the GIANTS selected him with a Category B Rookie. A strong mark, Buckley knows how to find space and kick goals.

42. Jake Stein

195cm, 94kg AFL Games: 0 

AFLX will be Jake Stein’s first experience of football at the highest level. The former Commonwealth Games decathlete, who can play as both a key and medium-sized defender, gets the opportunity to show off his athletic abilities in this exciting new format.

43. Dylan Buckley

179cm, 76kg AFL Games: 39 

The second of the two Buckleys to be playing AFLX, Dylan Buckley is a zippy forward with a hunger for the contest and football. The former Blue also has the ability to play behind the ball where his run and dash could be used to turn defence into attack.

50. Sam Reid

188cm, 85kg AFL Games: 43

Sam Reid is a hard-running forward who offers great defensive pressure. Reid is a not afraid of a contest and loves to push forward and kick goals. The 28-year-old played 13 games in 2017, kicking 10 gaols and will be looking to impress in AFLX ahead of the 2018 season.
