Veteran Ryan Griffen has announced his AFL retirement following the GIANTS’
The 32-year-old played 257 AFL games for the GIANTS and the Western Bulldogs, kicking 161 goals.
Griffen started his career at the Bulldogs after being selected with pick three of the 2004 NAB AFL Draft.
The classy on-baller would go on to captain the club, be named an All Australian in 2013 and win two best and
“I knew this year was going to be my last,” Griffen said after Saturday’s Semi Final.
“I love this footy club and I know it can have success in the future, and I’ll be there cheering them on.”
