Six players, including two potential debutants, have been named in the GIANTS’ 26-man squad to face the West Coast Eagles, with the final 22 to be named on Friday.

Draftees Aiden Bonar and Brent Daniels could be in line to play their first AFL games after being named on an extended interchange.

They’ve been listed alongside Lachlan Keeffe, Nick Shipley, Adam Kennedy and Harry Perryman, with the final team to be confirmed on gwsgiants.com.au at 5pm on Friday.

Jon Patton and Jacob Hopper will miss the trip west. Patton suffered a suspected ACL injury at training on Thursday while Hopper will miss with calf tightness but is expected to be available for next week’s clash with the Tigers.

The GIANTS travel to Perth to take on the West Coast Eagles on Sunday afternoon at 4:40pm (EST)/2:40pm (WST).

Leon Cameron’s side has won the past four straight games either side of the bye and climbed to sixth on the ladder while the Eagles have lost the past three but are a formidable opponent on their home deck.

The GIANTS will play at the new Optus Stadium for the very first time, while the Eagles hold a 6-2 record at the home ground.

Live coverage of the match will begin on 7mate in NSW and the ACT and Fox Footy nationally from 4:30pm (EST).
