The GIANTS have wasted no time after their Elimination Final victory, immediately turning their attention to their next challenge.

Forward Jeremy Cameron said while the playing group is in good spirits following their win over the Swans on Saturday, they’re focusing their energy on Saturday’s Semi Final clash with Collingwood at the MCG.

“It’s obviously a good vibe it’s always good coming in on a Monday after a good win, particularly when it’s against our rivals and in a finals game,” he said.

“We can’t get too ahead of ourselves because we’ve got another big one this weekend.”

A big one indeed. 

With Collingwood boasting 75,507 members, a bumper crowd is expected for the game at the home of football.

Cameron said he and his teammates are going to use the black-and-white noise to their advantage.

“We’ll have our supporters there but they’ll be heavily outnumbered. It’s interesting, but I think you can take the approach of letting it inspire you,” he said.

“It’s going to be loud and you’ve got to make sure you’re communicating out there because it’s going to be a lot tougher.

“At the same time, it’s just going to be awesome to play in front of a huge crowd.

“It’s what you play footy for.”

While the GIANTS are looking forward to their MCG meeting with Collingwood, there is the chance they’ll have to do it without Josh Kelly.

The star midfielder has had scans on his knee after a collision late in the opening quarter against the Swans saw him ruled out of the game.

Despite the concerns around Kelly, the 2017 All Australian was moving well on Monday and further details were expected on Tuesday.

Cameron said the club was pleased with how well they played despite Kelly’s absence on Saturday.

“As a playing group we’d love to have Josh out there, but having him go down around quarter-time and being one down on the bench, it’s something – and it’s been unique – that we’ve had to put up with throughout the year,” he said.

“To have a player of his quality go down and then to play the way we did is enormous for the group so we’ll take a lot from that.”
