A trio of senior players face fitness tests to take on the Hawks in Canberra on Friday night while another three players are available to play.
Jeremy Cameron, Josh Kelly and Matt de Boer will all put their hands up for selection should they get through Tuesday’s main training session.
“At this stage if Jeremy gets through training he’s probably a chance to play, at this stage in the same boat as Josh Kelly,” GIANTS General Manager of Football Wayne Campbell said.
“Josh has been out for a bit longer time but he’s also a chance along with Matt de Boer. We’re training this afternoon so if they all get through training they’re all a chance to play.”
Defender Aidan Corr (calf), utility Isaac Cumming (hamstring) and draftee Xavier O’Halloran (knee) are all available to play after overcoming their respective injuries.
“They’re all available to play,” Campbell said.
“They’ve done all the necessary things they need to do.
“We’ve got a NEAFL bye this weekend so we’ve just got the senior game but if they’re selected they’re available to play in the AFL.”
The GIANTS take on the Hawks at UNSW Canberra Oval on Friday at 7:50pm while the NEAFL side has a bye.
