Friday started in the best possible fashion for the GIANTS as emerging defender Sam Taylor signed a one-year contract extension, remaining a GIANT until at least 2020.
“My first season at the club has been a huge learning experience and I’m excited to hopefully be a part of my first finals series and see what we can achieve over the coming weeks,” he said.

The GIANTS had a light train run in the morning, eight days out from their Elimination Final against the Swans at the SCG.
Defender Zac Williams looked in fine form while Adam Kennedy and Stephen Coniglio were all smiles during the session.
Leon Cameron spoke to the media during training with much of the focus being on the potential return of up to seven players including veterans Ryan Griffen and Brett Deledio.
“There are crucial decisions to be made,” Cameron said.
“But we’re really confident that whoever we pick can help us take it up to the Swans.”
Meanwhile, Toby Greene and Stephen Coniglio will be at the Smooth Chocolate Festival in Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday and Sunday giving away free cannolis... no, we're not joking.
