Everyone knows GIANTS players are talented footballers but how much do you really know about their lives off the field? Here are five things you didn’t know about defender Matt Buntine:
1) Foodie Passion – I have a pretty big passion for food and photography so I thought I would combine the two. I’ve just started my own Food Blog on Instagram which has been great fun. Give my page a follow - @whereyoudrathereat2) Let it Grow – Surprisingly I haven’t had a proper hair-cut in two years which is the longest I’ve ever gone. It’s a constant internal struggle to determine whether or not I should get a chop. Think I’ll let it grow a bit longer… for now.
3) African Experience – I was lucky enough to spend a month in Africa when I was 16 to help build schools and other community necessities. It was the best experience of my life and something I will never forget.4) Secret Musician – I love a strum on the guitar and have been jamming with a few of the GIANTS boys regularly for a bit of fun. Can’t say too much, but watch this space.
5) Japan Dreaming – I learned how to speak Japanese in school and can still read Kanji pretty well. I’d love to be fluent in the language and spend time over there experiencing the culture.This regular series of player stories brings GIANTS fans closer to their heroes by giving a snap-shot into their private lives.
