The GIANTS will be bolstered by three huge inclusions for Saturday’s top four clash with the Hawks in Launceston.
As revealed earlier on Thursday afternoon, Jake Stringer will make his much-anticipated GIANTS debut on Saturday against the Hawks, while reigning Coleman Medallist Jesse Hogan and ruck Kieren Briggs will also return for the Saturday night showdown.
Similar to Stringer, Saturday’s clash will be Hogan’s first game of the season after the superstar forward missed the opening two games with a thumb injury.
Now fit and firing after a solid block of training over the past two weeks, Hogan will look to continue on from his dominant 2024 campaign which saw the 30-year-old win his maiden Coleman Medal and make his first All Australian side after a career-best 69-goal home and away season.
Briggs is another significant inclusion to help bolster a near full-strength GIANTS side, with the 201cm ruckman re-entering the team after missing the round one win over the Demons with concussion.
Hogan, Stringer and Briggs enter Saturday’s side in place of Max Gruzewski, Callum Brown and James Leake who have been omitted.
The GIANTS will take on the Hawks at UTAS Stadium at 7:35pm on Saturday night.
As part of Super Saturdays on Fox, the GIANTS’ clash with Hawthorn will be shown live and exclusively nationally on Fox Sports 3 and Kayo from 7:30pm AEDT.
For free-to-air viewers in NSW and the ACT, the game can also be viewed via delayed coverage from 8:30pm on 7mate and 7plus.
