The GIANTS will unveil prized recruit Jake Stringer for his club debut in Saturday’s huge clash with the Hawks in Launceston

Stringer has overcome the hamstring injury that forced him to miss the club’s first two games and will now line up in orange and charcoal for the first time in the top four clash with Hawthorn at UTAS Stadium on Saturday night.

Arriving at the club after a trade with the Bombers late last year, Stringer has impressed since joining the GIANTS in the summer but was forced to watch the opening rounds of the season from the sidelines after injuring his hamstring in a VFL practice match on the eve of the season.

Now fit and firing following a solid block of training, Stringer was informed of his upcoming club debut by teammate Lachlan Keeffe in front of delighted teammates at the club on Thursday afternoon.

Known to many of the football world as ‘The Package’, Stringer joined the GIANTS following a strong 2024 season Essendon in which he played all 23 games and kicked 42 goals for the Bombers.

With 212 AFL games experience and 376 goals to his name, Stringer brings a wealth of talent and experience to an already star-studded GIANTS forward line.

The GIANTS and the Hawks will get under way at 7:35pm at UTAS Stadium on Saturday night.
