The AFL has confirmed the details for its official pre-season fixture with the GIANTS to host the Blues in Canberra in the 2025 AAMI Community Series.

At the same ground that proved to be a dominant fortress for the club in 2024 Toyota AFL season, the GIANTS will host Carlton in a Friday twilight fixture at Manuka Oval on Friday, February 28 at 5:20pm.

History will be made when the two sides meet in the exciting pre-season match marking the first time since 2011 the Blues have played in the nation’s capital.

The exciting match at Manuka Oval is part of the 2025 AAMI Community Series which will feature all 18 clubs taking part in official practices matches between February 25 and March 2 at venues across the country.

AAMI Community Series Matches will take on the following format:

  • Four quarters of 20mins plus time on (as per AFL Premiership Season)
  • Squad of 30 players, eight interchange and four Emergencies. Minimum of four players on the Interchange Bench during the match at any time.
  • No interchange cap
  • Full panel of umpires appointed by the AFL.

All matches will be broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo and fully ticketed for fans to attend.

2025 GIANTS members, as well as kids under the age of 15 will be able to attend for free.

Tickets for the AAMI Community Series will go on sale in February with further information to be communicated in late January.
