SYDNEY DERBY CUP AND BRETT KIRK MEDAL

Saturday’s fixture will be the 28th edition of the Sydney Derby, with the teams to play for the Sydney Derby Cup. 

The player judged best on ground will be awarded the Brett Kirk Medal.

MEMBERSHIP

This week’s Derby against the Swans is a fully seated event. This has several implications for GIANTS members. If you are a General Admission or Sydney Silver Member you are required to redeem a free ticket via Ticketmaster here. Please note your membership barcode WILL NOT be able to scan into the match. If you have not yet redeemed a seat, please contact the membership team on 1300 GIANTS (1300 442 687).

Reserved seat members are not required to claim a seat and can scan your membership card as per normal. If you cannot attend the match and would like to release your membership seat for someone else to use, please contact the membership team on 1300 GIANTS.

New in 2024 is the Membership Desk located at the entrance to the Members Bar. Open pre-match and during breaks in play, it’s a one stop shop for any membership enquiries you may have throughout the season.

Make a big big sound in the GIANTS Fan Zone next to the scoreboard inside ENGIE Stadium on Saturday where there’ll be inflatables, the big kick, face painting, hair braiding and orange hair spray station, a DJ, everyone’s favourite mascots G-MAN and GiGi, and heaps of GIANTS giveaways.

Harvey Norman, Toyo Tires, Reflections Holidays and Nova will also be on hand with fun activations to try!

GETTING TO ENGIE STADIUM

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time for Saturday’s big clash with the Swans.

If you’re driving, consider pre-booking your parking online, available until 11:59pm the night before the game. The best parking for ENGIE Stadium is the P1 and P6 car parks.

KICK A GOAL, PLANT A TREE

Capital Brewing Co has partnered with the GIANTS to launch the fourth year of their Trees for Tomorrow initiative in partnership with Jindabyne-based environmental charity Keep it Cool.

The 'Kick A Goal, Plant A Tree' program has Capital Brewing Co working hand in hand with the GIANTS, committing to plant a native Australian tree for every goal kicked by the GIANTS’ AFL and AFLW teams throughout the 2024 season.

TEAM SELECTION

The GIANTS will name their team for round 15 on Thursday at 6:20pm at gwsgiants.com.au.

The VFL team will be named at 12:20pm on Friday at gwsgiants.com.au.

BROADCAST

Saturday’s match will be shown live and free on 7 Mate from 4pm in NSW and ACT, as well as nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo.
