Callum Brown has been handed a three-week suspension for rough conduct during the GIANTS' loss to the Swans on Saturday afternoon
The collision with Swan Tom McCartin in the second quarter of the round eight match was assessed as careless conduct, high impact and severe contact, which equates to a three-week suspension.
GIANTS Executive General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney, said:
“It was clearly not a malicious act by Callum, who is an incredibly fair player on the field.
“He got the timing wrong in this scenario and we fully understand the need to protect the head and avoid these types of incidents wherever possible.
“Our thoughts are with Tom following his concussion diagnosis.”
The GIANTS take on Essendon at Marvel Stadium next Saturday afternoon.
