MILESTONE
Vice-captain Josh Kelly is set to play his 200th game against North Melbourne on Saturday. One of the club's most influential players and leaders for more than a decade, Kelly will face his father's old team - with Dad Phil playing 61 games as a wingman for North Melbourne in the 1980s as well as winning two Sandover Medals in the WAFL. Kelly was drafted to the GIANTS with pick two in the 2013 Draft, and after being elevated to the club’s leadership group in just his fourth season, Kelly took his game to another level in 2017. He was named in the All-Australian team and took home the Kevin Sheedy Medal to secure his first club champion award. The star on-baller added another club champion award to the trophy cabinet in 2021 before being named co-captain of the club in 2022 alongside Toby Greene and Stephen Coniglio. In 2023, he was named vice-captain as Greene was named the new standalone skipper and is a GIANT for life after signing a contract through to the end of 2029.
THANK YOU PHIL!
Join us as we pay tribute to GIANTS legend Phil Davis and thank him for a terrific career with the GIANTS! Hear from the GIANTS’ inaugural co-captain on field at half-time before he makes his way along the boundary in front of the Members Stand.
