Greater Western Sydney GIANTS co-captain Phil Davis will play his first game since April when he lines up for the UWS GIANTS in the NEAFL match against Queanbeyan at Dairy Farmers Oval this Sunday.

Davis has missed the past seven games due to a back injury but has been named in a strong UWSGIANTS team to play in Canberra.

The UWS GIANTS team will include a dozen players that have played AFL this season, including midfielder Stephen Coniglio who’s played all 12 games.

The GIANTS haven’t played Queanbeyan yet this season and sit in sixth place on the Eastern Conference NEAFL ladder, two spots behind the Tigers.

The match is a must win contest for the GIANTS as they try to claim a spot in the finals.

Before taking to the field on Sunday, GIANTS players will take part in a Auskick Gala Day at Aranda Oval on Saturday afternoon.

More than 100 children are expected to attend, and the GIANTS players will assist in the on-field coaching of the under 8s and 9s.

It’s a big few weeks for the GIANTS in the ACT with the AFL and NEAFL sides both playing at StarTrack Oval Canberra next weekend.

In the AFL, the GIANTS host the Western Bulldogs in the Prime Minister’s Cup which is preceded by the UWS GIANTS playing Tuggeranong.
