GIANTS young gun Finn Callaghan remains a test to face Essendon at GIANTS Stadium this week after missing the last two matches with soreness.
The rising star has managed achilles soreness over recent weeks that has caused the 20-year-old to miss clashes against the Swans and the Power.
GIANTS Head of Medical James Rahme said:
“Finn’s just been managing some ongoing soreness which isn’t a surprise at this time of the year, especially for a young player who has played a lot of games this season.
“He’ll continue to increase his training loads across the week and if he gets through main training on Thursday, he’ll be available for selection."
Small forwards Brent Daniels and Toby Bedford will be available for selection after serving one-match suspensions, while young wingman Ryan Angwin is also set to return to the field after missing last week’s match with illness.
Meanwhile, ruck Braydon Preuss made a successful return to the VFL on Saturday with 26 hit-outs, 20 disposals and six marks.
The GIANTS take on the Bombers at GIANTS Stadium on Saturday at 4:35pm.
