Get ready for an action-packed afternoon outside GIANTS Stadium as science meets football with The Innovation Games taking place on Sunday.
This FREE event for the whole family lets kids find out the physics behind kicking a footy and so much more.
As part of National Science Week, The Innovation games will be spread out across Cathy Freeman Park, located on the corner of Grand Parade and Showground Road.
Starting at 11am on Sunday, August 18 before the GIANTS’ clash with the Western Bulldogs and running until 3:30pm, there are a number of great activities and shows throughout the day including:
- GIANTS sports and fitness
- The Space Cowboy, Chayne Hultgren at 12pm and 2:30pm
- Australian Wildlife Displays and Shows
- Periodic Table of Sport show
- Augmented Reality experiences with Sydney Olympic Park
- Hands-on science with Fizzics Education
- One Giant Leap drone simulations
- BMX Bike Demonstrations and bike track
- iGEM team from University of Sydney exploring DNA
- The Australian Museum
- Virtual Reality Gaming
