The GIANTS have added four players to their 26-man squad as they get set to take on Richmond at GIANTS Stadium on Sunday.
All four inclusions hail from the GIANTS Academy with Harry Himmelberg, Josh Fahey, Matt Flynn and Harry Rowston all a chance to take on the Tigers.
Harry Himmelberg has been named in the squad as he nears a return from a concussion suffered in round 10 against St Kilda.
The key forward has progressed through the 12-day concussion protocols well but still needs to complete main training on Friday to confirm his return to the side.
Also included in the squad is last week’s tactical substitute, Josh Fahey, the Academy graduate from Queanbeyan who made his AFL debut in the win over Geelong.
The 19-year-old collected six touches in half a quarter of football after coming on in the last quarter and playing on the wing.
Ruck Matt Flynn has been added to the squad after playing the first nine games of the season, before being omitted in favour of Kieren Briggs. Flynn played in the VFL a fortnight ago, ahead of last week’s bye, where he had 21 disposals, five tackles, 32 hit-outs and kicked two goals.
Young midfielder Harry Rowston has also been named in the squad after collecting 27 touches and laying eight tackles in his last VFL appearance.
The final team will be named at 5pm on Friday with the GIANTS set to take on the Tigers at GIANTS Stadium at 1:10pm on Sunday.
