Everyone knows GIANTS players are talented footballers but how much do you really know about their lives off the field?

Here are five things you didn’t know about defender Tommy Bugg:

1) Maccas Myth – I used to eat a fair bit of junk food and someone once told me if I forced myself to eat a ‘Pounder’ from McDonalds it would put me off for life. It was eight patties and cost me $26. I’ve never been back since.
2) Bad Habit – The boys give me a fair bit of grief because I’m always whistling around the club. Not sure why I do it but it seems to get on people’s nerves.
3) B-Baller – I’m not the tallest bloke going around but I actually played basketball for more than a decade. I was a point guard and my favourite player was Michael Jordan (like most people).
4) New Musician – I’ve started getting guitar lessons after trying to teach myself for the last few years. Been going for three weeks and really enjoying it so far.
5) History Hack – I’m embarrassed to say but once I failed a history exam because I wrote “Chris Judd” 200 times on the exam sheet. I didn’t study and thought it would be funny. The teacher didn’t.

This regular series of player stories aims to bring GIANTS fans closer to their heroes by giving a snap-shot into their private lives.
