Midfielder Stephen Coniglio will return for the UWS GIANTS in a crucial NEAFL match against Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium this Saturday.

Coniglio has missed the last two matches with a hamstring injury but has been named in the middle as the GIANTS look to extend their winning streak to four games.

The GIANTS have been in good form with an average winning margin of 125 points in the last three weeks. The Suns came from behind to win by 21 points when the teams met last month at Blacktown International Sports Park.

The UWS GIANTS had a bye last week while the Suns lost to the Sydney Swans by 21 points, the team the GIANTS beat in its last start by 63 points.

The Suns team is expected to include exciting rookie Jack Martin, who was named best on ground last week, and experienced defender Nathan Bock who’s returning from injury and Josh Hall who was omitted from the AFL side.

The GIANTS will field 13 players who’ve played AFL this season as they look to cement a position in the NEAFL finals for the first time.

The GIANTS have named a potent forward line with experienced pair Setanta O’hAilpin and Bret Thornton teaming up with dangerous small forwards Nathan Wilson, Liam Sumner and Gerald Ugle.

After some recent strong performances in the NEAFL, Tom Downie will once again lead the ruck with 2012 draftees Kristian Jaksch, Aidan Corr and Jono O’Rourke named across the half back line.

The match starts at 10.05am at Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast.
