Greater Western Sydney GIANTS vice-captain Tom Scully has been named to play against Collingwood at the MCG this Saturday.

Scully missed last week's match against Essendon at ŠKODA Stadium due to concussion suffered a week earlier against the Sydney Swans.

Scully is one of two changes, with defender Adam Kennedy recalled to the line up.

Midfielder Lachie Whitfield and small forward Gerald Ugle have both been omitted.

Saturday's match against Collingwood will be the 372nd and last game GIANTS Head Coach Kevin Sheedy is involved in as a player or coach at the MCG – an AFL/VFL record.

Sheedy played 132 games at the MCG for Richmond and this week will coach his 240th match at the venue.

After going down to Essendon by 39 points, Sheedy says his team is aiming to put in another strong performance against the Magpies.

"It was one of our better games last week against a top four side, definitely better than against Sydney," said Sheedy.

"Our recent performances have seen us beaten by a kick by the Western Bulldogs, terrible against the Swans and a really top team effort against the mighty Bombers.

"This is a big game for us in front of 50-60 thousand people, which would be the biggest crowd this team has played in front of so we're looking forward to the challenge," he said.
