Decorated coach and former AFL great Ben Hart will join the GIANTS as an Assistant Coach.
Hart, an Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee, is a four-time best and fairest winner and two-time premiership player across a stellar career with the Adelaide Crows.
Hart played 311 games for the Crows from 1992-2006 where he was also named in the All Australian team four times.
After his retirement, the 48-year-old spent 13 years working as an Assistant Coach at Adelaide and Collingwood and has most recently been senior coach at the Northern Bullants in the VFL.
GIANTS General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney, welcomed Hart to the GIANTS.
“We’re excited to welcome Ben and his family to the club,” he said.
“Ben brings a wealth of experience as a player and coach and will add great value to our program.
“As a coach, he’s a strong communicator and has a fantastic ability to build relationships.
“In addition, what he achieved as a player also means he has a great understanding of the standards and habits that are required at this level.”
Hart joins newly-appointed Head of Development Robbie Chancellor in a new-look coaching line-up under Head Coach Adam Kingsley, with further appointments to come.
