Everyone knows GIANTS players are talented footballers but how much do you really know about their lives off the field?

Here are five things you didn’t know about forward Jed Lamb:

1) Big Family – I’m one of eight kids so it was always a busy time around the dinner table growing up.

2) Pool King – I don’t mind the occasional game of pool whenever there’s a table. I used to compete in a few tournaments and managed to win a couple.

3) Coffee Connoisseur – I’m actually a qualified barista. I got my certificate last year and love a good cup of coffee. Can’t go wrong with a skim latte with one sugar.

4) Country Boy – Love heading home to Yarram whenever I get the chance. I’m a country boy at heart and used to wear gumboots everywhere I went, including school sometimes.

5) Marvellous Myanmar – My first ever international trip was to Myanmar when I first started my career in the AFL. I was part of a group that rode push bikes around the country to learn some new skills and see a bit of the world. It was a great experience which I’ll never forget.

This regular series of player stories aims to bring GIANTS fans closer to their heroes by giving a snap-shot into their private lives.
