Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Head Coach Kevin Sheedy has declared that he isn’t planning on collecting his first ever wooden spoon any time soon.

Speaking at Metricon Stadium this afternoon ahead of the GIANTS clash with the SUNS, the veteran coach said that he was more than happy for Guy McKenna to collect the title in 2012.

“We’ve got a lot of pride. I’ve never won a wooden spoon and I don’t want to win a wooden spoon.

“Guy McKenna can have two in a row, good luck to him,” Sheedy said.

GIANTS young guns Stephen Coniglio and Jacob Townsend have both been ruled out of tomorrow’s Round 20 clash with injury.

“Coniglio has a back related hamstring… Townsend probably won’t play for the rest of the season after a scan,” Sheedy said.
