The GIANTS have added nine players to their 26-man squad to take on Carlton at Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After signing a new two-year contract with the club, reliable defender Adam Kennedy returns from concussion for the crunch clash.

Rucks Braydon Preuss and Kieren Briggs have both been included in the squad, alongside forward Zach Sproule.

Irishman Callum Brown, who kicked four goals against Hawthorn in round 16, has been named along with wingman Jarrod Brander and defender Jake Stein.

Also included are youngsters Leek Aleer and Cameron Fleeton. The defensive pair are yet to make their AFL debuts.

Fleeton has been a rock in defence in the VFL this year and recently signed a contract extension with the club while high-flying Aleer returned from a calf injury in the VFL last week.

Confirmed out of Sunday’s match are Josh Kelly (concussion) and Connor Idun (broken foot). Ruck Matt Flynn has been omitted while midfielder Tom Green and forward Jesse Hogan have been managed.

The final 22 will be named at 5pm on Friday.

The GIANTS take on Carlton at Marvel Stadium at 1:10pm on Sunday.
