Forward Zach Sproule has undergone a second off-season shoulder surgery after injuring his left shoulder during pre-season training.
Sproule dislocated his right shoulder during the club’s semi-final against Geelong and underwent a shoulder reconstruction last September.
Following a return to training, Sproule injured his left shoulder spoiling in a contest and underwent surgery this week. He is expected to return to the field in the first half of the season.
Jack Buckley’s return from an ACL reconstruction is continuing after the young defender required a knee arthroscopy on his injured leg.
Buckley tore his ACL in round 16 last year and is still on track for a mid-season return.
Ruckman Braydon Preuss has returned to training after a run of injuries across the 2021 season.
A shoulder reconstruction and ruptured pec was followed by post-season back surgery, with the 26-year-old now back into full training.
Fellow big man Lachlan Keeffe is progressing well from his own ACL injury suffered in round 10 last year. He will continue to progress his training and is expected to return to the field in the early part of the season.
Brent Daniels (hamstring), Xavier O’Halloran (calf) and Tom Green (forearm) are all in full training following injuries sustained during the back end of last season.
