Jemma Ramsdale joined the GIANTS as a replacement player on the eve of the 2024 AFLW season. After being overlooked in the 2023 AFLW draft, Ramsdale went on play 13 of 14 games for Collingwood in an impressive 2024 VFLW campaign. A former representative basketball player for Victoria, Ramsdale transitioned to football at 15 where her rapid rise saw her captain the Dandenong Stingrays in the Coates Talent League in 2023 as well as included in the U17 Futures game in 2022 as part of the NAB AFLW Futures program, where she was coached by current GIANTS development coach Georgia Walker. Ramsdale is a tough defender known for her competitive nature and her strong footy IQ.
