One of the competition’s elite players, Alyce Parker has been a driving force in the GIANTS’ midfield since being drafted ahead of the 2019 season. Hailing from Holbrook in southern NSW, Parker is a contested beast who boasts a raking left foot, elite disposal and incredible strength through congestion as one of the league’s best clearance players. Quickly establishing herself as a player to watch with a NAB AFLW Rising Star award nomination in her first game, Parker claimed the GIANTS’ Rising Star Award after a brilliant debut season before elevating her game to another level in her second season, named in the All-Australian team as well as winning the Gabrielle Trainor Medal as club champion. At just 21, Parker became the club’s first dual All Australian and two-time winner of the Gabrielle Trainor Medal when she received both recognitions in 2021. A bona fide star of the competition, Parker won a GIANTS’ record four club champion awards - in consecutive seasons - before finishing runner-up in 2023 despite missing the final three games of the season. Parker is once again part of the GIANTS’ leadership group this season after being voted in by her coaches and teammates.
