Taken with pick 36 in the 2024 Telstra AFL Draft, Ough is a powerful midfielder and one of six fresh draftees welcomed to the club from last year’s draft. Standing at 194cm, Ough is a tall and dynamic midfielder who made a significant impact in 2024 with standout performances for both Vic Country and the GWV Rebels. Known for his clean hands and sharp decision-making, Ough uses his strong frame and power to excel in the contest. His versatility was evident as he played primarily as a winger for Vic Country and as an inside midfielder for the Rebels. Ough was a key player for the Rebels during the Coates Talent League final series, averaging 25 disposals, including a standout 33-disposal, seven inside-50 game against the Geelong Falcons in the quarter-final. A strong runner for his size, Ough's endurance was further showcased at the Draft Combine, where he posted an impressive 6:39 in the 2km time trial.
