The GIANTS landed Gruzewski with pick 22 in the 2022 AFL Draft. The versatile former Oakleigh Chargers product can play at both ends of the ground and while unable to break through to the AFL side in 2023 for a debut, Gruzewski showed strong form in the VFL, finishing the 2023 VFL season as the GIANTS’ second leading goalkicker with 26 majors from 14 games. A great contested mark and a proven goalkicker, Gruzewski broke through for his AFL debut in round 15, 2024 in a Derby against the Swans at ENGIE Stadium, kicking two goals in a solid debut. He went on to play three more games across the final rounds of the home and away season to take his AFL games tally to four games entering the 2025 season.
