One of the best midfielders in the competition, Tom Green is a contested beast with clean hands and great composure in traffic. A GIANTS Academy graduate, Green was born in Townsville but grew up in Canberra. Taken at pick 10 by the GIANTS in the 2019 AFL Draft, the big-bodied midfielder played six games in his debut season and by the end of his second year took out the GIANTS’ Rising Star Award. After a big 2022, which saw him finish top-three in the GIANTS’ club champion award, Green took his game to another level with a breakout 2023 campaign. Elevated to the GIANTS’ leadership group, Green finished the 2023 season as number one in the AFL in both average disposals per game (32) and average contested possessions (14.95). His starring season saw him make the All-Australian squad for the first time while tying as runner-up in the Kevin Sheedy Medal. Green signed a new contract in 2023 to tie him to the club until at least the end of the 2027 season.
