Originally from Perth but possessing strong Italian roots, Coniglio is an inaugural GIANT who has established himself as one of the AFL's premier midfielders. Choosing football over a promising cricket career, Coniglio was a young star for the club in its formative years before ultimately serving as the GIANTS’ captain in 2020 and 2021 before transitioning to co-captain alongside Toby Greene and Josh Kelly in 2022. Now serving as the club’s vice-captain alongside Kelly, Coniglio continues to be one of the club’s most important and damaging players. Runner-up in the GIANTS’ club champion award in both 2022 and 2023, as well as a member of the 2023 All-Australian squad, Coniglio is blessed with line-breaking speed and is one of the league’s most exciting midfielders when at the peak of his powers. One of the most influential players in the club’s history, Coniglio became just the fourth inaugural GIANT to reach the 200-game milestone during the 2023 season. After a tough 2024 season hampered by a shoulder injury, Coniglio will be looking to return to full fitness and back to his best in 2025.
