Originally drafted by the Demons with pick 75 in the 2018 AFL Draft, Bedford made the move to the GIANTS after requesting a trade at the end of the 2022 season. Traditionally a classy small forward and one of the best pressure players in the competition, Bedford transitioned to a new role in 2024 to become one of the league’s best taggers after numerous successful roles nullifying some of the best opposing midfielders. After playing 19 games in his debut season at the GIANTS in 2023, Bedford played 23 games in 2024 where he received the Coaches Award from Adam Kingsley for his brilliant transition to one of the competition’s most feared taggers.
