A previous member of the GIANTS Academy, Wardius is a country boy who prior to joining the GIANTS spent two years working on his family farm in NSW. Despite his slight frame, Wardius played senior local football for three years in the Hume League prior to joining the GIANTS and performed well, including the 2023 finals series where he kicked 15 goals from three finals. Wardius put forward several impressive performances for the GIANTS’ VFL side across the 2024 season as he looks to break through for an AFL debut.
