Shane Mumford, Brent Daniels, Tanner Bruhn and Lachie Ash have been added to the GIANTS’ squad as they prepare to face Hawthorn in a home game at the MCG on Sunday.
Mumford has been included alongside young ruck duo Matt Flynn and Kieren Briggs, who took up the ruck duties against the Blues last weekend.
Daniels has been added to the squad as he looks to return from a hamstring injury suffered in round seven.
Coach Leon Cameron said on Thursday that Daniels had been given an extra three weeks of training after suffering a repeat hamstring this season.
Also included in the extended squad are youngsters Lachie Ash and Tanner Bruhn. Ash was the unused medical sub last round while Bruhn impressed in the VFL.
Both Josh Kelly and Bobby Hill - who were listed as tests for this week's clash - have been named in the squad. The pair injured their ankles during last week's game but played out the game and are expected to be fit for Sunday's match.
The final team will be named at 5pm on Friday.
The GIANTS take on the Hawks at the MCG on Sunday at 1:10pm.
The fixture was originally scheduled for GIANTS Stadium before a COVID case increase saw the GIANTS relocate to Melbourne on Tuesday.
