It was all GIANTS as the coaches votes were named for round six, with a young GIANT scoring the perfect 10.
Every round, the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game. The coaches vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5.
The maximum a player can score is 10 (with five votes from both coaches).
Youngster Rory Lobb scored five votes from his coach Leon Cameron and Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson after four goals in the GIANTS’ thrashing of Hawthorn on Saturday at Spotless Stadium.
23-year-old Lobb, in just his 17th game, scored an equal career-high four goals and took 10 marks, including eight contested (just two short of the AFL record).
Lobb also had seven hit outs as he ably supported Shane Mumford in the ruck. He also received a Mark of the Year nomination for round six and was named on the interchange in the AFL Team of the Week.
Dylan Shiel, Heath Shaw, Steve Johnson and Stephen Coniglio - who were all named in the AFL’s Team of the Week - also received votes.
Shiel received seven votes after 34 possessions and eight clearances against the Hawks while Heath Shaw led the backline charge and picked up five votes.
Johnson kicked five first-half goals to be awarded four votes while ultra-consistent co-captain Callan Ward received two votes.
Coniglio picked up a vote for collecting 30 touches and laying nine tackles while running with Hawk Sam Mitchell.
Tom Scully rounded out the votes with the midfielder in career-best form playing across the wings.
No Hawks received votes from the match which the GIANTS won by 75.
