The GIANTS have recalled forward Jeremy Finlayson for Thursday night’s crucial clash with the Blues.
The GIANTS are set to take on 12th-placed Carlton at Metricon Stadium on Thursday night with the GIANTS sitting just outside the top eight.
Finlayson comes back into the side after being omitted two weeks ago.
He played forward in a scratch match against the Dockers last Friday and impressed with his work-rate and defensive pressure.
He comes in for midfielder Josh Kelly who is out after sustaining a concussion in the GIANTS’ win over Fremantle last Saturday.
With just five days between games, Kelly was immediately ruled out after the concussion diagnosis with a minimum six-day break needed to pass the AFL’s concussion protocols.
Thursday night’s match will be ruckman Shane Mumford’s 200th AFL game after a career spanning 12 years, three clubs, a premiership and a retirement.
The match will also mark 50-game milestones for GIANTS Academy graduates Harry Perryman and Finlayson.
