A GIANT weekend of AFL action in the Riverina is almost upon us.

The GIANTS will take on the Belconnen Magpies at Robertson Oval, Wagga Wagga at 12pm this Saturday, August 10.

It will be the first time that the GIANTS have played in Wagga, which is a critical hub in our catchment zone.

To celebrate this momentous occasion and to demonstrate our commitment to expanding AFL in the Riverina, the orange army is gearing up for two GIANT days of community activities and football.

If you’re in the area this weekend, don’t miss out on being part of the action as the GIANTS visit every primary school in Wagga, hold a FREE AFL Super Clinic, battle the Magpies and launch the exclusive Riverina GIANTS Membership Package.

About PaCE

The Parental and Community Engagement (PaCE) Program is a joint initiative between the AFL and DEEWR, that better supports Indigenous Parents and communities to participate in educational decision making activities. Students and parents participate in fun activities to develop life skills and a greater understanding of culture. In Wagga Wagga, the program has been operating out of Mount Austin High School(MAHS) since late March 2011.

The PaCE Program participants will be conducting a guard of honour for the GIANTS as they run out onto the field. Accompanying the team will be Ryan Ingram as the team mascot.
