Dermott Brereton has praised young GIANTS forward duo, Jeremy Cameron and Jonathon Patton, declaring the pair will make a unique and exciting combination in years to come.
The five-time premiership player and member of Australian Football Hall of Fame, who has worked closely with Cameron and Patton alongside GIANTS’ forward coach Stuart Edge, said he’s been impressed with what he’s seen.
“They are both remarkably different types of players for key forwards. Jonathon is a big guy who will charge straight at the footy and demand the ball,” he said.
“Jeremy is a very smart forward who will run angles and cut through certain situations. He is quite skillful. They are both exceptionally good, young talents and once they spend 30-40 games together, they can be a unique combination.”
Brereton said that he has enjoyed his time with the GIANTS since joining the club as specialist forwards coach.
“It’s great to get together with a lot of young guys who really enjoy their footy and really want to learn so I’m really enjoying my time here.”
