GIANTS co-captain Luke Power and Tom Scully will make their AFL debuts for the club against North Melbourne in Hobart on Sunday.

It’s the first time the GIANTS will travel to Hobart and coach Kevin Sheedy is thrilled to have his stars returning.

“The GIANTS line up is getting more exciting by the moment. We have some very serious senior players coming back in, ready and available for selection over the next week or two,” said Sheedy.

“Obviously this week our co-captain Luke Power is available and has been training very well the last couple of weeks. He is just itching to play some AFL footy.

“He has been a great player for the GIANTS in the first few games of the NAB Cup, until we lost him to a hamstring injury. But he is ready to go.

“Tom Scully is also ready and is really looking forward to this match.

“Some other experienced players are in the mix to come in, in Sam Reid and Dean Brogan.

“They are both on the bench, and it depends on the weather down there in Hobart on whether they will play to be quite honest. But either way are both quite close to selection and we should see them come in, in the next week or two.”

Tasmania-born GIANTS defender Tim Mohr has been named to start on his return to his home state.
