The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS celebrated the club's first ever AFL win on Sunday with a family day at Australian National University in Canberra.
Pink Footy Day, organised in conjunction with ANU and the Gangahlin Jets Women's Football Club, paid tribute to all those who have been affected by breast cancer.
A vibrant mix of orange and pink was on display on Sunday as the GIANTS playing group signed autographs, participated in an on field clinic and ran skills clinics in the GIANTS inflatable fan zone.
The GIANTS mascot, G-Man also made an appearance, greeting kids and families and celebrating the club's inaugural win over Gold Coast at Manuka Oval.
GIANTS CEO David Matthews said the enthusiasm in Canberra over the weekend was a testament to the emerging club's fan base the GIANTS are building with the ACT community.
"It was great to see so many members and fans at ANU on Sunday after such a great moment for our club in our first win,” he said.
"The crowd at Manuka on Saturday was fantastic and the people who came down to greet the team and get involved in family activities with us on Mother's Day was great to see.
"It was a great moment for our club and we look forward to many more wins as the years go on."
