To mark AFL Indigenous Round, Kevin Sheedy has picked a team of the best Indigenous players he has coached over 29 years at Essendon and the GIANTS.
A great advocate of Indigenous players, Sheedy has coached some of the finest of the modern era, including Gavin Wanganeen, Michael Long and Derek Kickett.
Considered by some as unlucky to miss out on a place in Essendon's 1993 premiership side, Kickett was named in the centre.
A number of GIANTS players were also named in Sheedy's team, including Curtly Hampton, Shaun Edwards and Nathan Wilson.
