First year GIANTS Jono O’Rourke and Kristian Jaksch are both available for selection this week having overcome injuries.
O’Rourke has been sidelined for five weeks with a broken jaw while Jaksch has missed the last month of football with a knee injury.
Number two draft pick O’Rourke and pick number 12 Jaksch are yet to make their AFL debuts but have impressed for the UWS GIANTS in the NEAFL.
Veteran ruckman Dean Brogan is also expected to be available for selection after being a late withdrawal ahead of last week’s match against the West Coast Eagles at ŠKODA Stadium due to a back complaint.
GIANTS co-Captain Phil Davis is not expected to be available until after the mid-season bye, while promising ruckman Andrew Phillips remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
