GIANTS defender Tim Mohr will miss the start of the 2014 season with a foot injury.

Mohr is expected to be sidelined for four months after fracturing a metatarsal bone in his right foot.

General Manager Football Graeme Allan said the club was confident Mohr would return in mid-to late April

“While it’s a blow for Tim, we believe he will make a full recovery and can make a significant contribution to the season when he returns,” Allan said.

Meanwhile, GIANTS rookie list player Sam Schultz has undergone a shoulder reconstruction and will miss five months.

Schultz, one of the first players signed by the GIANTS, was de-listed at the end of the 2013 season but re-joined the club via the 2013 NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
