GIANTS midfielder Toby Greene has been named to play his first match since Round 8 against Adelaide at Spotless Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park this Saturday.
Greene returns following a five-match club imposed suspension and is one of three changes to the GIANTS side.
The 20-year old had 40 possessions and kicked a goal for the UWS GIANTS in the NEAFL last week, and comes into the team alongside vice-captain Tom Scully and defender Zac Williams.
Vice-captain Heath Shaw goes out of the side after suffering concussion against the Swans last week, while Josh Hunt and Nathan Wilson have been omitted.
Head Coach Leon Cameron has welcomed Greene back into the team.
“Toby has worked extremely hard during his time on the sidelines,” said Cameron.
"We have been very impressed by his attitude and how he has approached training.
"He made a strong return in the NEAFL last week and deserves his place back in the senior side.
“It’s unfortunate that Heath Shaw won’t be available after a heavy knock but it’s good to regain our other vice captain in Tom Scully after a couple of weeks out with injury,” he said.
The GIANTS play Adelaide at Spotless Stadium on Saturday at 2.10pm. The match will be shown live in NSW and the ACT on Fox Sports 3 and 7mate.
