Sam Frost and Kristian Jaksch have informed the club of their intention to seek trades to Victorian based clubs during the forthcoming trade period.

General Manager Football Graeme Allan said:  “While we understand their decisions, we are disappointed to lose two highly talented key position players after spending considerable time developing them.”

Frost, 21, has played 21 games for the GIANTS since he was drafted as rookie in 2012, including 16 games in 2014. Jaksch, 19, has played 7 games for the GIANTS after he was selected at pick 12 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft.

“We will now pursue what we consider to be fair and equitable trades for both players during the forthcoming trade period,” Allan said.

The GIANTS recently re-signed key forward Jon Patton, defenders Nick Haynes and Adam Kennedy and first year ruckman Rory Lobb  until the end of 2017. It followed the decision by first year players Josh Kelly and Cameron McCarthy to also commit to the club until the end of 2017.
