The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS can confirm defender Tim Mohr has re-ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
The injury occurred when Mohr was playing for the UWS GIANTS in the NEAFL on Saturday at Spotless Stadium, his sixth match back from injury.
Mohr originally injured his knee in round 18, 2014 against Geelong and underwent a traditional knee reconstruction.
The 26-year old has played 43 AFL games since debuting in 2012 and quickly established himself as a key member of the GIANTS’ backline.
General Manager Football Graeme Allan said: “It’s an unfortunate injury for Tim who’s worked very hard to get himself back to full fitness.
“Tim is a highly valued member of the GIANTS and the whole club is behind him as he looks to overcome this setback.”
Mohr will meet with a knee specialist this week.
