GIANTS Co-captain Callan Ward will make his return to the GIANTS side this weekend to take on St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Ward has missed the last two weeks due to a slight reoccurrence of his pre-existing osteitis pubis.
After meeting with surgeons late last week it was determined that Ward did not require surgery. The GIANTS fitness and medical team will monitor the condition closely over the break and pre-season.
Rising stars Tom Bugg and Adam Treloar are amongst a list of young players also pushing for selection this week after missing last week’s game against Melbourne.
Tom Scully has been ruled out of the weekend’s clash due to back soreness. It is expected he will only miss a week.
