GIANTS defender Tim Mohr will undergo a knee reconstruction and miss the rest of the season.
Mohr injured his knee in last Saturday’s game against Geelong at Spotless Stadium and scans have revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
It is another injury setback for Mohr who has played only eight games this year because of foot and knee injuries. He has played a career total of 43 games after making his debut in 2012.
General Manager Football Graeme Allan said: “It’s very unfortunate for Tim but we are confident he can make a full recovery and resume playing football next year.”
Mohr joins Jeremy Cameron (ankle), Stephen Coniglio (thumb), Lachie Whitfield (shoulder), Nick Haynes (ankle) and Aidan Corr (shoulder) on the sidelines for the rest of this season.
