The GIANTS have received some positive news with all players receiving a clean bill of health following victories in both the AFL and NEAFL in Brisbane.
“We were really happy with how everyone went, we had two teams come up to Brisbane – the NEAFL team and the AFL side – and both performed really well,” GIANTS Head of Athletic Development David Joyce said in the Westfund Rehab Report.

Joyce said that ruckman Rory Lobb has been showing some positive signs in recent days after suffering a back injury during the GIANTS win over Gold Coast earlier this month.
“He had a hairy couple of weeks there with his chest/ back pain that he got from that knock against the Gold Coast,” Joyce said.
“He spent a couple of days back in Perth, came back and has really turned a corner over the last five days.
“He’s running and kicking and marking footies.”
Meanwhile, defender Zac Williams (Achilles) and young midfielder Will Setterfield (Knee) have both passed
“Both those guys ran on-ground for the first time which is fantastic,” Joyce said.
“They completed their time on the alter-g, which is our treadmill which you can change the body weight and ground reaction forces on.
“So, they ran on-ground for the first time this week which was really pleasing as did Daniel Lloyd as well so we’re ticking along nicely with those guys.”
