While the on-field action has been put on hold, recruiter Emma Quayle is going back to the future for GIANTS Media.

Before joining the club’s recruiting team three years ago, Quayle developed a reputation as one of the country’s most respected journalists as a football writer at The Age Newspaper in Melbourne.

In her 15 years at The Age, Quayle was seen as the preeminent expert on the draft and developed a strong following for her ability to tell the stories of the next generation of stars.

Having been involved with the majority of the GIANTS playing list as either a journalist or recruiter, Quayle is perfectly placed to share their stories from a unique perspective during this unprecedented time.

Quayle has been exploring what the players do off field in her “How To” series that goes online every Monday, while the GIANTS’ short but storied history is told on Wednesday through a series of “Where are they now” pieces.

GIANTS fans have already learnt about Harry Himmelberg’s handyman abilities and Tom Green’s worldly view following plenty of travel as a teenager.

The Orange Army has also had a trip down memory lane with the recruiter responsible for bringing Jeremy Cameron to the harbour city, Neville Stibbard, as well as former player and assistant coach James McDonald.

The week is rounded out on Fridays with a feature on a different GIANTS player – some old, some new. Tim Taranto and Sam Jacobs have both been fascinating reads so far during the shutdown.

While footy is on hold and all of us are spending more time at home and on the couch, make sure you share your favourite pieces by GIANTS Media across social media to be enjoyed by the rest of the Orange Army.

Never Surrender.
